I took the train from Tanah Merah to KL!!! Best option for travel if you asked me...comfy, cheap and convenient:
WHY IT'S GREAT?
I paid RM93.00 for my own bed in a room for two (Premium)
- Get out from the island on the 4pm boat
- Take a 45 minute ride from Kuala Besut to Tanah Merah Railway Station
- Catch the 7:29pm train to Kuala Lumpur
- Sleep all the way
- Get to Kuala Lumpur (KL Sentral) before 9am
WHY IT'S GREAT?
- You have your own bed, blanket & 2 pillows
- It's air-conditioned (PLUS wall fan)
- You can smoke anytime you want (in between cars, there are ashtrays)
- Unlike the bus, there's no need to worry about clean toilets
- There's a 24 hour canteen
